InetConnector Proxy ist ein Programm, das Ihnen ermöglicht, ihre "echte" IP durch einen Proxyserver zu verbergen, um so Ihre Privatsphäre zu schützen. InetConnector Proxy ermittelt aufgrund von Proxyserverlisten, die frei im Internet erhältlich sind, den schnellsten und am besten geeignetsten Server heraus, den sie sonst nicht so ohne weiteres finden könnten, und trägt diesen unbemerkt in den Internet Explorer ein. Anschließend wechselt er in einem definierten Abstand (einstellbar z.B: 2 Minuten) auch noch die schnellsten Proxyserver durch. Ein häufiger Weg um nicht die eigene IP-Adresse durchzureichen, bietet ein Proxy Server. Ein solcher Server nimmt Ihre eigene IP-Adresse auf, und gibt die eigene Adresse weiter. Bekommt er dann eine Anwort von dem Computer, dessen Seite sie angesurft haben, weiss er, dass er diese Antwort an Sie weiterleiten muss. Der Proxy-Server steht dann quasi zwischen Ihnen und der Website.
